Eric Stewart, Senior, Ithaca College, Ithaca NY. Summer 2006.

"Watch how John works when he is on a shoot!!! Observe everything that he does (and does not) do. It is the little things that he does for
clients, the little things that the client remembers. For it is these
little things that keeps assignments coming for John."

Most enjoyed Least enjoyed:
" Going out on the shoots with John and watching how he works with the
subject and client."
"the seemingly dead end office jobs that I had to do while other -more
important work- was put on the back burner."

What I learned:

" There were countless photographic and business tips that i learned over the course of my internship, for these things will be inevitable not to learn when you work in a office that thrives on photography. Over the coarse of your internship all you will hear in the office is talk about the latest and best cameras, lens, computers, and software. I also had my personal photographic and business related questions answered because I was not afraid to ask John questions. Finally, the most important lesson that I learned at JHP is one that I already knew yet I actually got to see a living of it. If you want to succeed at anything in life you must sacrifice everything for that cause. Make it your passion, make it your love, make it drive you insane because you are thinking about it every waking hour, and make it your life. This is the secret to success, and this is how John became the photographer that he is today."
