Krista Sakalaris, Drexel University,Philadelphia, PA, Winter 2004-2005.

"Working with John for 6 months was an experience like no other. I gained a knowledge in all aspects of Photography, from the business side to balancing work and family, as well as what goes on before, during and after shoots. There is no time spent at John Harrington Photography that you are not learning something new or teaching something to others. "
Most enjoyed - Least enjoyed:
"During the internship so many things went on it's hard to pinpoint a 'most liked', however one of my favorite things about my time there were the people I met. From all the office members, John, his family and friends, to recurring clients, we all worked together as a team, and I will truly miss working with all of them. Of course, it was always nice that when you told someone what you did that day you had a photograph to back your story." - "I'd have to say my least favorite thing was taking out the trash. Don't worry though, my contribution to JHPhotography, there is a Trash Helper sign indicating whose turn it is located by the clock. REMEMBER the name should be changed each week."

What I learned:

"I came into the internship with John with little knowledge and a strong dislike for Photoshop and Digital Photography, by the time I left I had learned retouching and post production skills that can't be taught in schools. More importantly, I've also learned how to interact with clients, market myself to them, and keep up with days and jobs that are constantly evolving."
