| "In school, you learn your F stops, shutter speeds, composition and content. With John you learn how to run a buisness, talk to clients, price assignments and how to "bust a maneuver". But to be serious, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. John has opened so many doors and opportunities for me, and introduced me to so many incredible people, I can't imagine what I would be doing right now if I hadn't had this opportunity with him." |

| "All the people I got to meet... and not just the famous people (but mostly the famous people... ha). I still find it amazing that I got to stand in the same room with Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton (not at the same time), LL Cool J put his arm around me, and Tim Russert and I chit chatted about his son. The Agusta Westland shoot (where John and I got to fly in 3 different helicopters, the last one with no doors and John hanging out the side of it) would probably be at the top of my list too. But I also enjoyed the down time between shoots when you get to have your conversations with John about why he handled a situation a certain way, or why he lit something or was shooting something a from a certain angle." | "Parking the car, and the 4 day OPM Convention, I think one day at a Personell Management convention is to much... but by the 4th day I had no desire to ever attend a convention again in my life. I think my shoulders are still sore from carrying all of the equipment too. Also, when John made me do portfolio reviews at NSC. It was a very important thing to do, and I understand why he wanted to me do it... but I don't have to say I enjoyed it." | |
| What I learned: "Know what you don't know... meaning that when I came out of school... I knew I didn't know everything, but I learned that I really knew nothing. I learned all about the programs commonly used for post production, Metadata, more photoshop skills, writing estimates, how to talk to clients, archiving, copyrighting, pricing, and on and on and on... oh, and not to forget the sunny 16 rule." |
