Least
enjoyed: |
| "I enjoyed going on assignments with John and learning the ins and outs of the photo business. I also enjoyed briefly meeting Willie Nelson at XM studios. That is about all of the country music I heard while at John Harrington Photography." |
|
"I least enjoyed the walk up the hill from the metro station on hot, humid days." |
What
I learned:
"This internship has been a great learning experience for me on multiple levels. As a photography student I am learning more of the artistic side of things, and while here, I have learned many aspects of the business needed to be a successful photographer that aren't available through many university programs. Client relations, organizing and storing slides, and what happens before, during, and after the shoots. It is amazing how much John knows and shares about the business with everyone. In order to be a successful freelancer, it is necessary to be a good sales person, as well, to sell your work to potential clients. I have learned a lot about the photography business that I can take with me anywhere I go. Also, keeping up with John on assignment requires a combination of comfortable shoes and speed walking."
