“Internship in general is usually very valuable experience in terms of gaining practical knowledge and understanding of the great number of technical, artistic, business skills, necessary for entering the field of professional photography; it is an essential educational opportunity, which I highly recommend to all art students, since art schools simply cannot provide a complete preparation for students to enter the “real life after school” without offering the practical experience of internship; I highly value John Harrington’s generosity, his mission and vision to help photo students and beginning photographers to understand their expectations and desires, to highlight their strengths and talent, to overcome their weaknesses, to teach them business and communcation as well as technical and artistic skills.”

Most Enjoyed:

“I certainly most enjoyed being able to assist John on avariety of assignments.”

Least Enjoyed:

“probably office work…”

What I Learned:

“This particular experience, internship at John Harrington’s photography was definitely an eye opening preparation for what it means to be a commercial, or rather a successful commercial photographer, the level of commitment and dedication required and necessary in order to survive in this highly competative market. It was an learning opportunity which I would have never received in an educational institutution. ”
